As a Production Associate at Message Digital, you’ll work closely with our team of texting experts to help raise money for campaigns, non-profits and PACs, engage lapsed supporters, and persuade and turnout voters. You’ll learn how to build texting programs that optimize deliverability, send speed, and click-through rates. You will measure campaign performance, including A/B tests, assist in proofreading and quality control, create shortlink redirect chains, and analyze inbound text responses to build training datasets that improve our machine learning automation for message analysis. Experience in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is a bonus, but not required. Message's staff will work with you to improve your skills and understanding of political communications, online organizing, and spreadsheet skills.
SUMMARY
For this role, Message offers a paid, 25 hour per week, Monday through Friday, remote, contract position with the potential for extension. Production Associates are expected to begin within two weeks of a signed offer and conclude at the end of the quarter (September 31st), though dates may shift slightly. Candidates must have a computer to use for the duration of their contract.
Ideal candidates will have an interest in and familiarity with electoral politics and campaigning, as well as an interest in the rapidly evolving field of digital marketing. We look for candidates with strong communication skills, good attention to detail, a sense of curiosity, and a willingness to explore new ideas.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Drafting texting campaigns

Creating and updating performance trackers, and using those results to assess A/B tests to optimize ongoing and future sends

Generating shortlinks and tracking click-through rates

Proofreading scripts and checking shortlink redirect chains

Build reports in Google Sheets to aggregate performance metrics for clients’ programs

Analyze inbound text responses to classify them for unsubscription, suppression, or no action, creating labeled training datasets that improve our machine learning automation for future message analysis

Exploring new technology options and platforms, including ActBlue, ActionKit, and Hub, to find new and innovative ways to help clients reach their goals
